Word Problems can be a cause of frustration in both learners and parent educators. This workshop will help participants better understand what a word problem is and how to develop word problems that truly support their learner. Kelly Ann Sassone (formerly of Da Vinci Connect), founder of 123 Count with Me, will share all you need to know to create thoughtful, relevant, and rigorous word problems. Kelly Ann believes that word problems are magical because they are like an intersection where so many math ideas meet to create authentic application of math content and skills.
